Scottish house prices still rising

18 August 2008

Property prices in Scotland have continued to increase over the past quarter, according to new figures, although some regions experience a fall during this time.

Only three areas in Scotland actually saw a positive quarterly change in prices, the largest of which was a three per cent rise for the south-west excluding Glasgow, while the biggest drop was by 5.2 per cent for Dundee.

However, all of these regions saw house prices climb on an annual basis, with the 20.6 rise for the north excluding Aberdeen by far the biggest increase, whereas the smallest price growth was by just 2.3 per cent in the south-east excluding Edinburgh.
