House prices fall again in July

UK house prices fell for the tenth consecutive month during July, new figures have revealed. According to new research conducted by Hometrack, the average price of a property fell by 1.2 per cent during the period. The decline means that the average home is currently worth £168,500 - 4.4 per cent less than in July last year. Prices were down in 65 postcode districts in England and Wales, with the most marked decline noted in East Anglia where values of properties fell by 1.4 per cent.
