Towns by the sea have shown great house price growth over recent years, with the appeal of life by the coast set to continue supporting the market there. The average seaside town property prices rose by eight per cent in 2007 to £208,362, according to a high street lender, while over the past five years they have climbed by 78 per cent, compared to just 67 per cent for England and Wales as a whole.
