Britons 'pay more' for a garden

A large proportion of people in the UK would be prepared to pay significantly more for a property if it had a garden, according to a new study. Research from Halifax revealed that 78 per cent of house-hunters would pay a premium for outside space - on average £10,000 more. Some 88 per cent of people aged between 35 and 44 would pay more for a garden compared to just 66 per cent of 16- to 24-year-olds.
