Fixed Rates are Falling

Although lenders had previously been expected to increase the rates on their fixed products, a mortgage industry expert has said that they are now slashing them instead. Following January's surprise base rate hike, experts have warned that lenders were rapidly withdrawing their fixed-rate products, with no sign of them being replaced. Yet with no subsequent base rate increases since then, it has been reported that numerous mortgage providers have slashed their fixed-rates since the beginning of March.
