The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has announced that it will not stand for mortgage lenders unscrupulously hitting borrowers with increased exit fees. These charges are often attached to a product purportedly to cover the administrative costs incurred by mortgage providers when their customers finish paying for their property or switch to another lender.
