House prices jumped by 1.4 percent in February, their biggest gain in six months, the nation's largest mortgage lender said on Wednesday, providing further evidence that the property market is picking up again. A leading lender said that more than reversed a revised 0.2 percent fall in January and took the three-month annual rate up to 5.5 percent from 5.1, the strongest since last May.
