Average asking prices for residential properties showed their strongest monthly gain in nearly two years in early 2006, breaking through 200,000 pounds for the first time, a survey showed on Monday. Asking prices rose 2.7 percent in the early January to mid-February survey period compared with the prior survey, taking the average asking price to 201,600 pounds.
