House price inflation picks up

House price inflation has reached an annual 3.3 percent in September compared to 2.8 percent in August. In September the average cost of a house stood at £186,723 pounds compared with £186,208 pounds in August. While house price inflation rose in England, Wales and Northern Ireland it fell in Scotland.
